the bipolar advantage
Need help! Son is bipolar and can not deal with any stress.What medicines work best?
My son was diagnosed as bipolar two years ago.He is CYMBALTA lithium. His working.He has not lost his job because he was always late to sleep too much (due to their medications always tired) his wife left and took his two children because she says she is lazy and would not do anything with her.He has a bad temper but only yells.He abusive.I Do you think it isn't too lithium for mania and you need more for their depression.He just yelled at me for 5 minutes and now is watching TV and I suffer from depession laughing.I but the control is effexor.I frustrated because they do not know if some of it is lying to me or not! I will always be here for him (28) but need to know how to handle so frustrating this.Its when we have a family function and he is too "sick" for go.He says time.Is hurts all this normal in bipolar disorder? Please help …
Its obviously a good father and I know it's hard to see her son suffer. But realize that medicine alone will not help. I am also bipolar, and patients mental are like drug addicts in the respect that you can have an intervention, but the conclusion is that you can only change if they change themselves. Recommend CBT (CBT) That changed my life and who I am. I just take Wellbutrin and Celexa in combination. CBT taught me coping mechanisms so you can take care of myself. Good luck!
