treating bipolar disorder in children

treating bipolar disorder in children
there are videos of individuals or adolescents with bipolar?

My son as a child was diagnosed with ADD, attention deficit disorder. Problems in the abundance of school and now she is 15 and the doctors are treating her for bipolar. She is challenging, that is, and stays out all night, has been jailed for 30 days and Awol and his behavior has started again after being released. Now I am questioning his medical diagnosis, and I'm seeing more of a rebellious teenager who believes his friends are friends. I wonder if theres a video out there that can give me any idea about a teenager with bipolar behaves. Indivdiual granted each is different, but there must be some similarities in some place.

I understand and can appreciate their frustration. You might consider the opportunity to speak individually with a therapist for yourself to help relieve their suffering, because it seems you need a way to vent. You can also search a group called the National Aliance on Mental Illness. You can find much information on the web for them. Also free meeting place for members of the family to help you deal with your particular situation. Sometimes people who are "tagged" with illnesses sometimes take advantage of the situation and what you need to know how to help her without being allowed to take advantage of you. You may be able to find videos at the public library you can check out. I am sure that if the investigation of the disease is likely to be a list of videos you can buy. You did not mention whether or not the medication, which could be somthing to consider. If it is it may be necessary to adjust or change. If not, can be a good idea to discuss with your doctor. I really think if you look for the group NAMI I mentioned above, will help.
