what triggers bipolar disorder

I think I may have an anxiety disorder. How do I know besides seeing a doctor?
I was diagnosed with ADD and Bipolar Disorder when I was twelve. I dont beleive I have bipolar disorder because I stopped taking meds at about fifteen and I dont experiance highs and lows. I do however experiance panic attacks. Its mostly at night when I have panic attacks and when Im around alot of people. What can I do to stop them. I dont have any triggers that I notice. Please help!
You said you don’t have any triggers that you noticed so try to remember what you were doing before your attack. If you can find some resemblance between these attacks don’t fear or try to avoid them bc it only makes things worse trust me! If its mostly at night or when you’re around people then tell yourself these people are minding their own business then at night watch tv, read or whatever you like to do. I know it is hard but occupy your mind the best you can and don’t think into your attacks.
Tips for during / before an attack:
- Focus on an object in the room, name off different facts about this object. Such as what it is above, under, beside, shape, color, size, what it does, etc.
- Sit still and close your eyes. Imagine its dark and all you can see is a candle in front of you. Breathe in to the count of five through your nose, then do the same out of your mouth. Imagine the flame moving slightly closer or farther as you breathe. A floating feather works, too.
- Tell yourself HEY IM OKAY, ITS JUST A PANIC ATTACK AND NOTHING IS GOING TO HURT ME. I WONT LET THESE STUPID THINGS GET IN MY WAY.
Helps me anyways.
&; Talk to ur doc about possibilities of panic disorder and tell them about ur attacks. They can help or refer u to someone who can.
