What is the link between people with mental illness and their ability to be brilliant and creative?
I read a lot of places, people bipolar are among the most creative and most talented. suffering from depression and such. So how is that possible? I looked on Wikipedia, and I could not believe that celebrities with bipolar disorder, including Macy Gray and Amy Winehouse is suffering from disorder of Biola. are people born with a mental illness or develop over time? what I know that may be genetic. Here's the links I was looking. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_affected_by_bipolar_disorder http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bipolar_disorder one many of the poets, actors, singers, leaders, scientists, doctors, etc were on that list. its amazing. its said that people often write their best works in times of sorrow. painting of your pain, write their pain, and that's what makes them so talented and admired.
I guess you could say that their brains are "wired" differently – and this causes them to react to the world differently. They may perceive the world differently causing a different response to those without disorders. Or maybe your perception is the same, but just a different answer. It is well known that different parts of the brain are used for different tasks (parietal lobe Left is best used for logic, whereas the right parietal lobe is used for creativity). May be a difference in the connection between the two, as the was for the Rainman. The Rainman memorize everything you read (like 90% or so). Basically, the simple answer to your question would be "brain wiring of each individual.
